Silk paper making workshop

At a summer workshop of the Embroiderers Guild - Jean Butler instructed us in the technique of silk paper making. This is great for use as a background for stitching into and embellishing with beads, buttons etc. It was a fairly fast process but you must allow for drying time. Everyone's work was different in style and colour. You could take it further and use for card making, as a book cover, as a piece of art or left as a sample. Suitable for traditional and contemporary stitchers. A great day spent with like minded people.
