COASTING ALONG AT SUNNYBANK

I coasted into Sunnybank Craft Club today, my basket filled with kits for us all to make a dress ring.  Hours of trawling the internet had given me lots of facts about dress rings and every other kind of ring you can think of.  Some serious bits and some to give us a good laugh.
Then what happened, well the rain stopped play and we set off with only two members.  Oh dear I thought what shall we do now.
To cut a long story short we reverted to Plan B..... in other words we cobbled a class together and after a shaky start we ended up with 8 members who all appeared at different times during the morning, but all ended up with a nice coaster to take home with them.
We are saving the dress rings for next time, when hopefully we will have a full quota of helpers and members.
It was a lovely session and the results are so different with Lily (94) painting a beautiful butterfly, Pauline a delicate watercolour flower, Joan surprised us all with her clever design work and Pat made a halloween coaster for her grandson.

They are brilliant - a great make. Everyone enjoyed making them and you would never know that this craft was a last minute replacement - you are always so well prepared (and calm and collected). As always much appreciated!
